CASA CABO

Baja, Mexico

A two-acre private compound overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Baja California, Casa Cabo brings the desert to the sea. The landscape cascades down the cliffside, from rugged path to polished courtyard to pool cantilevered out over the ocean. We retained huge boulders on the site; the architect slipped the living spaces within the rough rock. Native plants from the surrounding desert transform the interior landscape into a place that is both architectural and natural. The plantings provide habitat for birds and other animal and insect life.
